One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet so many people I might not have otherwise. Many start off strangers and end up friends. Michelle and Clay are one of those couples and lucky for them they live in North Carolina or I'd be begging them to hang out all the time.
They're nature dorks. They love to travel. They're obsessed with animals (they do impressions of their pets' facial expressions and offered donations to an elephant sanctuary on their registry).. They had a nearly zero-waste celebration, complete with compostable bamboo-ware, and vegetarian cuisine. They love Wisconsin (they fed each other cheese curds in the limo) They're beautiful, creative AND silly enough to balance out their fancy Ph.Ds!
Special thanks goes out to the Turco and Horiuchi families, both immediate and extended. All of them, the wedding party, and guests were a breeze to work with. My assistant, April Blazel, did an amazing job. Thanks to Enos Farms for pulling off a great Asian / taco fusion per the couple's request and for keeping me hydrated with their signature Bee Sting punch. Thanks to Joey Dunscombe and Ricky Riemer for making the decrepit (yet charming) tandem possible for use during the ceremony! Finally, thanks to the venue staff and volunteers who keep Lussier Family Heritage Center at Lake Farm Park such a well-maintained haven for Madison residents.
This was truly an honor. xo
