It probably goes without saying that I’d rather tell your story than mine, but it’s always fun knowing who’s behind a camera. 

I inherited my dad’s Canon AE-1 when I was 12 and have been shooting ever since. Growing up in the 90’s our high school still had a darkroom which led me to a fine art degree at UW-Madison to round out my passion for environmental science.

I realized early on the power of visual storytelling, how photography can be a tool for change and the extent to which it helps keep things in perspective.

Something I’m especially grateful for is each place I’ve called home. From my birthplace in Nevada to CA, WI, and Moss, Norway, the upper Midwest will always have my heart.

When I’m not documenting other folks I’m with my son, on a bike, or in the dirt growing as many things as possible.
